RCHi relief Listed below is an excerpt from the Disaster Operation Status Report of the DSWD Disaster Operation Center as of Tuesday, June 18, 2008.

The numbers incidate that from a population of 29,505 almost 90% were affected, from 3,407 damaged houses almost 23% were totally damaged. There was 1 death in Magalong and 4 injured (2 in Luna, 1 each in Brgys Cabinuangan & De Guzman).

Relief activites are mostly from LGU-Mabini spending P364,272.00 for assorted relief goods. Other donations were from:

1. The Philippine National Red Cross donating 200 bags of assorted goods;

2. The Rotary Club of Hundred Islands donating 1 cavan rice, 3 boxes noodles, 30 packs imported noodles & 8 bags assorted clothing;

3. Sto. Nino Parish donating 1/2 cavan rice & assorted clothing;

4. Supreme Master Ching Hai International donating 80 sacks of rice & 800 packs assorted grocery items (cooking oil, iodized salt, sugar, soy sauce); and

5. DSWD Regional Office through Congressman Arhur F. Celeste donating 96 sacks of assorted goods.
