mpgp_1home.jpg In 2002, the official website of LGU-Mabini, www.Mabini-Pangasinan.gov.ph (MPGP), made its first appearance in the internet through the National Computer Center’s eLGU Program, which helped LGUs take the first step towards being online. However it was a static website and had remained unchanged until the term of Mayor Titos, who installed a Content Management System (CMS) that allowed a user-friendly environment for the managers and visitors of the website.

flag raising After more than 300 years of Spanish colonial rule, the Philippine Islands proclaimed its sovereignty and independence on June 12, 1898. Different rites and ceremonies were laid out to commemorate this very important event in Philippine history. In Kawit, Cavite where the proclamation originally took place at Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo’s residence, the declaration was reenacted annually, attended by political leaders and personalities.

Last May 7, 2009, our town Mabini was again beset by Typhoon Emong which caused again damages to properties and claimed the lives of 2 of our kabaleyans,actually. Most of our public school buildings were destroyed just like what Cosme did in 2008. Parents and teachers and even students and pupils worry about their shelter when classes start on June 1.

Pangasinan 1st district under state of calamity

typhoon emong Lingayen, Pangasinan (11 May) -- The Sangguniang Panlalawigan declared a state of calamity in the entire first legislative district of Pangasinan through Provincial Resolution No. 255-2009 during a special session last Friday enabling the provincial government to utilize its calamity fund to extend support and assistance to the areas badly affected by typhoon "Emong."
